American Pie - a cult flick about sexual encounters between teenagers - was Reid's first big breakthrough in Hollywood. The role she played as Vicky as the virgin was a sexy model. None of it led to a hugely successful Hollywood Career. Reid was unable to become famous in Hollywood through films like Josie and the Pussycats. This was an unsatisfactory performance for her. She had a small appearance on the set of American Pie 2, but the film did not assist. Her offscreen mishaps, famous and infamous plastic surgery and her many blink-and miss appearances have resulted in her becoming more of the party goer or designer, rather instead of an actress.
